Clarification Text for Processing the Personal Data of Donators
Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TAFF) as the data controller, presents herein the clarification text in accordance with Article 10 of Law on the Protection of Personal Data (“LLPD”) numbered 6698.and Public Announcement for Data Breach Notification.
The Methods and Legal Reasons of Collection of Personal Data
On the web address https://www.tskgv.org.tr/tr/kart-ile-bagis online donation forms are available to fill out. Donators can directly make donations in cash or in kind at TAFF Headquarters and branches, or they can prefer donating through bank or post offices or SMS mobile phone mesages. The following information is automatically processed in conformity with Article 5 of Law numbered 6698 – clause 2(“it is clearly provided for by the laws” principle a ; “processing of personal data belonging to the parties of a contract, is necessary provided that it is directly related to the conclusion or fulfilment of that contract” principle c) : Name and Surname, T.C Identification number, information about your donation, phone number,contact information of relatives or friends, e mail. The credit card information is necessary to be able to donate through secure 3D. Your bank will ask you to verify your identity by entering an authentication code. In most cases, this is a single-use security code that is sent to you by SMS on your mobile phone.
Purposes for Processing Personal Data
Your information mentioned above is used for thanking our precious donators, celebrating special days of the donators, updating donator information, carrying out activities in accordance with legislation, upon request providing competent institutions and authorities with necessary information, using at legal disputes.
Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data shall be transferred by Turkish Armed Foundation(TAFF) to competent courts and/or enforcement offices and public institutions for the purpose of legal and financial audits in Turkey in accordance with the Law.
Rights of Data Owner
Everyone has the right to be informed about him/her Personal Data and pursuant to Article 11 of Law on the Protection of Personal Data, the rights of the Personal Data owner include the right to “request information” from TAFF.
