Turkish Aerospace Industries Opened R&D Center In Bursa

Turkish Aerospace Industries continues its technology development activities and human resource development works. The aim of the R & D center established in an area of 174 m2 in ULUTEK Technology Development Zone in Bursa Uludağ University Görükle Campus is to produce solutions for TUSAŞ's original product designs. 24 students, who will support TUSAŞ's R & D activities, have been working since December. 

TUSAŞ Chairman of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Oğuz Borat, Head of Strategy and Technology Management Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Öztürk, Rector of Uludağ University Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ulcay, Rector of Bursa Technical University Prof. Dr. Arif Karademir, ULUTEK Technology Center Manager Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kanık, TUSAŞ-Uludağ University R & D Center Manager Prof. Dr. Kemal Fidanboylu realized the opening. In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Oğuz Borat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TUSAŞ said “In our R & D centers, which will form the core staff of technological developments, we will continue to support with all our power to train our bright minds that will ensure the sustainability of innovation and to develop creative thoughts.”

In the center established to carry out joint R & D projects with universities and important industrial organizations in Bursa, to contribute to the original product design of TUSAŞ and to find solutions to the problems encountered; successful students from Bursa Uludağ University, Bursa Technical University and Yalova University will be trained within the scope of the Intern Engineer Program.

TUSAŞ, with the aim of expanding its range of qualified engineers, is continuing its efforts to provide qualified human resources with the required PhD degree within the scope of the TUBITAK Industry Ph.D. Program Protocol signed with Uludağ University.
